Original report (as submitted)

I was driving at about 60mph on A610 westwards when this idiot appeared in my rear view mirror as if glued to my bumper, he must have joined from the Ikea junction but did not have the sense to match his speed and following distance. He then overtook me, giving the usual hand gestures (as if I was at fault) thereby declaring himself as the sort of road user we could well do without.

The original submission notes: “I was driving at about 60mph on A610 westwards when this idiot appeared in my rear view mirror as if glued to my bumper, he must have joined from the Ikea junction but did not have the sense to match his speed and following distance. He then overtook me, giving the usual hand gestures (as if I was at fault) thereby declaring himself as the sort of road user we could well do without.” Keeping this first-hand wording matters because it preserves how the event was experienced at the time of reporting.
