Recent incidents in Warwickshire

This large car approached a roundabout that I was already on , to his right, didn t stop or even look. I had to swerve and brake, I then noticed he was using a telephone, and he still didn t notice me or other drivers, just drove straight across the roundabout without looking left or right, completely oblivious to anyone else

There isn t an incident type that fully covers this incident. The van tail gated the car behind me, then me, then the guy in front. He overtook in the face of on-coming traffic, at ghost islands and at junctions. A fine example of how car thieves featured on television programmes drive, so much so I was expecting blue lights to follow, and unfortunately didn’t get the full index number. --- Context --- Type: Bad Driving Location: Warwickshire Vehicle: Renault Registration: DL25 PNU Date reported: 2025-06-26 --- Safety takeaway --- Stay defensive, leave space, and avoid escalating risky behaviour.

Along this stretch of main road this driver drove at 35mph in a 60mph zone. As the weather was clear, dry and there were no sharp bends, he was something of a Sunday driver causing a tailback. If he had been driving at a reasonable speed and slowed down at bends then it would have been okay. This low speed wasn t maintained because of safety but was down to being in front and not showing consideration for other road users, unless he didn t notice the tailback he was causing which would mean he was unfit to drive. Should impatience have occurred it could have resulted in an accident with the winding of the road. I hereby would like to praise all drivers stuck in the tailback for not trying to overtake along this stretch but waiting until it was safe to do so. --- Context --- Type: Bad Driving Location: Warwickshire Vehicle: Vauxhall Registration: RA12 VKV Date reported: 2025-06-24 --- Safety takeaway --- Stay defensive, leave space, and avoid escalating risky behaviour.

Whilst encountering the bends between Blackmill and Brynmenyn, a number of drivers had their headlights on full beam into oncoming traffic. I had my headlights on full beam but as soon as I saw a beam of light from an oncoming vehicle I dipped mine, but although there were some who did what I did, rather too many were not considerate of other drivers and could be adding to causing an accident. Also, although the speed limit is 40 mph which is what I did, one driver who was behind and driving close to me put his headlights on full beam to dazzle me probably because I would not go any faster. Dazzling other drivers with headlights seems to be prevalent in this area. --- Context --- Type: Bad Driving Location: Warwickshire Vehicle: Tesla Registration: SM18 VAD Date reported: 2025-06-23 --- Safety takeaway --- Stay defensive, leave space, and avoid escalating risky behaviour.
