Original report (as submitted)

After I pulled out from A63 onto A19 North, this one was 200 yards behind and closing fast even when I d reached 50mph; I reached 60 and he kept closing until he was about 10 feet behind, at 60mph. To make it easy for him to overtake, I eased off down to 50, and eventually down to 40; he missed 3 or 4 golden overtaking opportunities on clear wide sections in order to sit right behind me. I sped up to 60 again, and he closed in again to 10 feet for a few more miles, missing more opportunities. I eased off down to 40 again, then back up to 60, until he finally overtook passing about 1 foot from my door, and cut in sharply in front of me. --- Context --- Type: Speeding Location: Hampshire Vehicle: Range Rover Evoque Registration: KD52 KCN Date reported: 2025-08-21 --- Safety takeaway --- Reduce speed early in mixed traffic and near junctions.
