Driving to Ipswich on the A14 from Felixstowe at the stretch just after the on slip from Felixstowe dock gate 2, I moved over into the right hand lane to allow the merging traffic to join the A14. At the front of the 4 vehicles merging was a red combo van. I was travelling at about 55mph so I accelorated to pass the traffic safely and my plan was to return to the left lane when clear.
The driver of the red combo decided to also accelorate and I was unable to drop back as I had a lane of traffic behind and it would of meant me coming to a crawl.
We are now coming up to the water tower which acts as a round-a-bout and I needed to be in the left lane so I could filter left. I indicated and just sat there waiting for the driver of the red combo to drop back and let me in. To my shock and horror he just sat there matching my speed and we have about 2000 yards to go before we hit this junction and we are doing 70 mph now. I then realize that he is not going to budge and had to brake hard and perhaps get in somewhere behind the other traffic.
At the same time he decided to brake then started beeping and flash lights at me in anger. I only just got in the lane ahead of the red combo and my van started to veer left and right because of the sudden braking and turning in sharply. I think he was purposly challenging me or had a problem with being overtaken by a Iveco van even though I was being a curtious driver from the outset.
Because I got in front of him he must of thought I was cutting him up but it was a desperate need brought about by his stupidity. The combo driver then moved to the outside lane got along side and started to wave his fist at me even though he had just nearly caused a major incident. The other dangerous thing was, he was going the same way as me but moved over into the right lane which meant he should have turned right just so he could shake his fist at me and by doing so he nearly went into the back of a transit van coming from the right as he never gave way.
We then carried on and I was a bit shaken and angry and thought we would pull in at the next layby for a fight but we carried on at 50mph until he left at the A12 junction.

The driver (I think he could just drive) pulled out from Foxhall Trip, in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes. If he looked it must of been somewhere else. If I hadn't braked two cars would of become one. He has been reported further.

Driver overtook dangerously on a143 between bury st edmunds and ixworth. It seemed he was trying to 'impress' his passenger by putting not only their lives at risk but all other road users travelling around him at the time.
He overtook a string of cars without the right acceleration and with about 20 metres between him and the lorry coming the opposite direction , he decided to cut me up and narrowly missing going head on with the lorry.Had i not braked suddenly to give him a gap, he would almost certainly hit the lorry as well as caused a major accident.
This idiot should not be on our roads, putting our lives at risk.

The police called today to tell me that despite the driver (Mr. X) undertaking me on a dual carrageway, swerving into the passenger side of my car causing damage, being verbally abusive and physically threatening, trying to drive his car into me when requesting his details, following my car around Gorleston almost causing a second accident, they will not prosecute. They informed me that Mr. X is a discharged prison officer with mental health problems, and it is that condition that caused his road rage. They also said that as there where no witnesses that I would have little or no success in court.
So if you’re driving in the Great Yarmouth or Glemsford rd, Lowestoft area and come across this car or it s deranged driver, steer well clear, he is an extremely dangerous driver and of unbalanced mind. Picture taken just as Mr. X attempted to drive his car into me.
